Japanese baseball is an extremely fast game. Most Japanese hitters lack the long ball game, not all of them, but most of them.  What they don’t lack is their ability to play great defense and make good contact with the ball. Japanese players are extremely hard workers and never take breaks. Japanese players are big on speed. Their style of play is a fast game so they use a lot of speed. Pitching styles are very different here they are big on the off speed stuff such as the curve ball slider splitter or anything that isn’t a fastball or 2 seam.

My impression on Japanese baseball players are that they are very well athletically gifted! They work very hard in practice and have a good mentality and respect for the game! The hitters are very good at contact and putting the ball into play. You will run into a few who have a power. The fans are my favorite part of the game! They are always loud and chanting during every pitch of the game with drums and trumpets! It makes the game more fun and exciting! I've even heard my last name being chanted! After the games as team we lineup to sign autographs, take pictures and even receive gifts. The fans and everyone are so nice!
